Home care (24 hours) With a full heart

When a person needs care and attention 24 hours a day, home caregivers provide it. 24 hour care allows patients to be cared for and cared for in their own home. For this purpose, the caregiver moves in with the patient at home.

What are the tasks?

The 24 hour caregiver takes over basic care, household and care of the person in need of help. She spends most of the time of the day with him.

In the daily routine, home care workers help with personal hygiene, feeding and dressing and undressing. But also the support in the household, the occupation with the patient and the advice of the relatives are part of the tasks. Depending on previous training, administering medication or dressing wounds may also be part of the daily tasks of a 24 hour caregiver.

What are the requirements?

As a home care professional, you make all the health decisions for the patient yourself. Unlike in nursing homes, there is often no direct contact or physician on hand to support decisions. Therefore, home caregivers have a great deal of responsibility. In addition, one spends an extremely large amount of time with the patient in his or her home, which is why flexibility, empathy, patience and, above all, the joy of dealing with people are essential for this profession. The willingness to move in with the patient at home and live with them in a household must also be given.
