Anaesthesia technical assistant For the smooth running of the OP

ATAs, or nurse anesthetists, care for surgical patients before, during, and after surgery.

What are the tasks?

Medical assistants support doctors in the entire operational process. They help with the examination, treatment, care and consultation of patients and carry out organisational and administrative work. They give appointments to patients, receive them, document treatment procedures for the patient files and take care of the billing of the services provided. With their medical expertise, they apply dressings, prepare injections or draw blood for laboratory tests. They also inform patients about pre- and aftercare options, care for medical instruments and carry out laboratory work.

What are the requirements?

Medical assistants need a basic interest and understanding of medicine, biology and chemistry, especially human anatomy, as you assist with treatments and examinations. Good communication skills, empathy, discretion and loyalty are required for dealing directly with large numbers of people, often with health conditions. You should also be able to work under pressure, have a sense of responsibility, be able to work independently and be diligent. Good self-management and PC skills are necessary for the organisational tasks.
