Welder Mounting and connecting

Certified welders (m/f/d) join metal parts and assemble plant and construction components. For this purpose, they use different welding processes and welding equipment.

What are the tasks?

Welders process metal parts and produce welded constructions. They assemble components for plants as well as constructions and firmly join metal parts together. For this purpose, the activity is first planned, the workpieces and components are prepared and then connected by welding spots. For this work, different welding equipment as well as welding robots are used and different welding methods are used. After welding, quality control is carried out to determine whether the welds are smooth, even and free of cracks.

What are the requirements?

Working as a welder requires excellent manual skills as well as physical resilience to be able to master the daily handling of metal. Precision, reliability and a responsible approach to work is essential to ensure tightness. As welding work has a high risk potential and therefore a wide range of safety hazardous conditions need to be kept in mind, knowledge of accident prevention and health and safety regulations is essential.

What are the fields of application?

  • in metalworking shops and welding shops
  • in metal construction
  • for manufacturers of machines, tools and vehicles
  • in companies of the supply engineering
  • Factory and factory halls
  • Final assembly at changing work locations
