Floor layers (m/f/d) are responsible for laying floor coverings and wooden floors of all kinds.
What are the tasks?
Floor layers plan the floor covering. They measure rooms, document the material requirements and prepare the subfloor. Then they cut the material to fit and lay it. The tasks that occur also include welding material, installing wall finishes or repairing older floors.
What are the requirements?
The work as a floor layer is preceded by a three year apprenticeship. The training takes place dual in school and in the company. As a floor layer, you should have a certain mathematical understanding, be technically skilled and work very carefully. In addition, one is often physically active, which requires physical resilience.
